Terms of use

1.      Introduction

The following terms and conditions constitute the agreement between you and Citadoc including its parent company (“Citadoc ”, “we” or “us”), constituting the operators of Citadoc.com and all related websites and applications on which these Terms of Use are posted and/ or referenced. These Terms of Use, along with the Privacy Policy, govern the use of the Services, as defined in the Privacy Policy and referred to hereon as (the “Services”), regardless of whether or not you have created an account on one of our Services.

By using and/ or accessing the Services, you agree to the Terms of Use mentioned in this agreement and in our Privacy Policy. The courts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan shall govern any dispute arising related to the Services, Terms of Use and/ or Privacy Policy and any legal action, arbitration, or legal dispute shall be resolved in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. If you do not agree with all or part of our Terms of Use and/ or Privacy Policy, you cannot use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of anyone else (be it an entity or a person), you hereby acknowledge that you are authorised by them to accept the terms stated in this agreement and in the Privacy Policy on their behalf.

2.      About the Services

The Citadoc Services provides users with healthcare information without the need to create an account. However, to benefit from all the Services provided, users must create an account and provide certain information, which can be used by us as per the Privacy Policy.

Although some content may be provided by healthcare professionals, practitioners, nutritionists specialists or any other provider of a service (“Healthcare Practitioners”); Citadoc does not provide any opinion or warrants as to the accuracy of the information provided, nor does it claim to provide you with a diagnosis, treatment or any other form of opinion or advice that can be used by the user of the Services, rather it can only be used to assist you in choosing a Healthcare Practitioner. We make no guarantees, representation or warranties, whether expressed or implied, in relation to the professional qualifications, expertise, quality of service provided, prices, costs, insurance coverage or any other piece of information mentioned on our Services. In no event shall we be liable to you or to anyone else for any decision made based, in part or whole, on information provided by our Services. We do not recommend any individual, entity, practice or hospital that are listed on our Services.

3.      We do not provide medical advice

Any information obtained from Citadoc , its employees, partners, sponsors, advertisers, licensors or any other party related to, whether directly or indirectly, to Citadoc cannot be used and taken as certain. You must conduct your own checks and verifications to ensure the accuracy of such information.

The content used in our Services is not intended to provide you with a substitute to seeking professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or opinion. Do not base your actions, in obtaining medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or opinion on information provided through our Services. We do not provide medical emergency services and should not be used in a medical emergency. In a medical emergency, you should call 911 and seek immediate medical help.

We do not recommend or endorse any specific tests, Healthcare Practitioners, procedures, opinions, or other information that may appear through the Services. If you rely on any Content, you do so solely at your own risk.

4.      Availability of doctors

Although we encourage Healthcare Practitioners to use our Services prudently and responsibly, we do not provide any guarantees and have no control over the availability of any Healthcare Practitioner at any specific time, regardless of the availability they choose to provide to their patients and/ or users through our Services.

We will not be liable for any delays in appointments, unavailability of the Healthcare Practitioners, cancellations and/ or rescheduling of appointments, unfulfilled appointments by the Healthcare Practitioners or the users of the Services, or any form of injury resulting, whether directly or indirectly, from the user of our Services.

5.      Responsibility of choosing a Healthcare Practitioner

The responsibility of choosing the right Healthcare Practitioner lies with you. Our Services may help you locate and schedule appointments with Healthcare Practitioners, however they do not provide any recommendations or opinion as to the quality of service provided by the Healthcare Practitioner, the accuracy of appointments or any other form of opinion or recommendation.

We do not ensure that Healthcare Practitioners listed on our Services hold all active licenses required by law. We may exclude any Healthcare Practitioner that we may think engaged in inappropriate or unprofessional conduct. We may exclude any Healthcare Practitioner at our own discretion without providing any reason as to the exclusion from the Services.

Healthcare Practitioners listed through our Services may have entered into agreements with us and may pay us a fee in order to be marketed through our Services. Although we may get paid for listing a Healthcare Practitioner, we provide no preference in our listings based on fees paid, with the exception of sponsored results. Listing results are based on various criteria, including but not limited to, alphabetical order, geographical location, ratings or previous bookings.

Sponsored results are based on additional fees received from Healthcare Practitioners to help them appear higher in the listings. Sponsored results are a marketing tool used by Healthcare Practitioners through our Services and should not be considered as an endorsement or recommendation by us of those Healthcare Practitioners.

6.      The Services and content published on the Services

Not all information and content published, marketed and/ or discussed on the Services are applicable to all individuals, users and/ or patients. All information presented are for your awareness and judgement only, and does not imply, nor do we claim, the safety and/ or appropriateness of the information for any particular individual.

7.      Agreement to Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

By using the Services, regardless of whether or not an account was created, you acknowledge to reading and agreeing to the Terms of Use, as well as reading and agreeing to the Privacy Policy, both of which are mentioned on our Services.

8.      Your responsibilities

a.      Login information

You must keep all your information private and secure. Do not share any information related to your account with anyone else that may use them (including username, password, etc.). You must notify us immediately if your login information are compromised by sending an email to info@Citadoc .com.

b.      Other responsibilities of the users (user that are not listed on our Services)

Normal charges for any medical or related services provided by Healthcare Practitioners will apply and are your responsibility. Citadoc does not provide you with any sort of payment facility to your Healthcare Practitioner. Any dispute that arises between you and your Healthcare Practitioner is entirely your responsibility and should be resolved between you and your Healthcare Practitioner with no responsibility on us.

You will use our Services responsible and shall not exploit the Services to make fake bookings, provide offensive reviews, write unlawful comments or reviews, or engage in any activity on our Services that does not conform with the applicable laws. You may only use the Services for lawful purposes.

You may not use the Services in any way that may result in damaging, disabling, overburdening, impairing or harming our servers, networks, Services or interfere with any other party’s ability to use the Services. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any of the Services or any content available on our servers, including but not limited to user accounts, networks, computer systems, etc. neither through hacking, password mining or any other means possible.

You may not gather nor accumulate any data, content or portion of the Services, neither directly nor indirectly, including but not limited to Healthcare Practitioners’ information, availability, insurance information or any other piece of information. We may take any legal action and implement any measures to prevent the violations of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy mentioned on our Services.

c.       Responsibilities of Healthcare Practitioners

As a Healthcare Practitioner, you agree that you will not use the Services, neither directly nor indirectly, to engage in any anti-competitive or unfair practices, including ‘fake bookings’ or any other action that may harm in any way your fellow Healthcare Practitioners or any other user of the Services, or that violates any of the applicable laws.

9.      Service interruption and suspension of services

Our Services are highly dependent on other services provided to us through third parties, including; internet service providers, servers, backups, etc. We will therefore not be liable to any interruption of services caused by third parties in any way.

We may from time to time decide to discontinue, suspend or amend one or more of our service offerings. We will not be liable for any suspension, discontinuation or amendment of any of our Services or any portion of the Services. Use of the new and/ or amended services will be governed by this agreement.

10.      Links to other websites

While using the Services, you may encounter links to other websites. These links are provided for your convenience only and we do not endorse these sites or the products and services they provide. You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible or liable for the content or accuracy of these other websites. We have not checked the contents of those websites and shall not be held liable in any way whatsoever for their contents or use.

11.  Contents you post on our Services

Rating information that you provide when reviewing a doctor and/ or all information that you provide as comments, posts and/ or discussions in our blogs section of the Services will appear to and may be used by the public and are not intended to private in any way.

Contents that you post on our Services are your responsibility. We will not be held liable to any content that you post or submit to our Services. Your posted contents must comply with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to investigate and take legal action against anyone who violates our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to terminate and block any account that violates our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy with no obligation from our side to state a reason for such action.

By posting information on our Services, you grant us and give us the right to grant to any other party an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, fully sublicensable, fully paid up, worldwide license to use, copy, publicly perform, digitally perform, publicly display, and distribute such Posted Information and to adapt, edit, translate, prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Posted Information.

12.  Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We have no control and no duty to take action regarding which users gain access to our Services, what content you (or any other user) may access, what effects the contents of our Services may have on you, how you may use or interpret the content of our Services, or what actions may result from the content of our Services.

You release us from all liability for you having used, or not used, the content of our Services. We have no duty of care to you or any other user of the Services. We hereby disclaim any warranty, including legal warranties, with respect to the Services we provide, including but not limited to the quality, accuracy and/ or availability of our Services. We do not warranty against loss of data, loss of connectivity, or any other type of fault that may arise on our Services. We do not claim our Services are free of viruses, bugs or any other malware and we do not provide any warranties to the users of the Services against them.

In no event shall we be liable to you or to any other party for any direct or indirect, incidental, consequential or any other form of damage that may result from the use of our Services.

In no event shall our liability exceed the greater of (1) the fees you have paid directly for the Services, or (2) JOD50.

13.  Restricted uses of our Services

You agree not to use the Services in any unlawful, infringing, tortious or harmful manner; in any way that violates another party's intellectual property, privacy or other rights; or in any way that otherwise interferes with the operation, use or enjoyment of any service, system or other property.

Without limiting any of the foregoing, you agree that you shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) copy, modify, adapt, translate any or portion of our content as provided in our Services. You shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the Services or in or on any Content. You shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) use any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application, or other automated device, process or means to access, retrieve or index any portion of the Services. You shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) access or retrieve any Content or portion of the Services for purposes of constructing or populating a searchable database of reviews or other Content related to the healthcare industry or Healthcare Practitioners. You shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) fraudulently or intentionally misuse the Services, including without limitation scheduling an appointment with a Healthcare Practitioner which you do not intend to keep, or scheduling an appointment which you do not intend to pay for. You shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) create user accounts, book appointments or submit posts by automated means or under false or fraudulent names. You shall not (and you agree not to allow any third party to) collect or store personal data about other users in connection with the prohibited activities described in this paragraph; or use any means, including software means, to conduct web scraping of any portion of the Services, its content and/ or materials.

14.  Account termination

We reserve the right, without the need to give a reason, to terminate, suspend and/or deactivate your account immediately, without notice, if there has been a violation of this Agreement or other policies and terms posted on the Site or through the Services by you or by someone using your Credentials. We may also terminate, suspend or deactivate your account for any other reason, including inactivity for an extended period. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination, suspension or deactivation of your access to the Site and/or the Services. Further, you agree not to attempt to use the Site and/or the Services after any such termination, suspension or deactivation (provided, in the case of deactivation due exclusively to your inactivity, you may be permitted to create another account).

This agreement shall survive the termination of the Services provided.

15.  Updates and changes to Terms of Use

We will notify you with any material changes to our Terms of Use by posting notice on this page (for a continued period of at least one month post-change of the Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Services constitutes your acceptance of the changes and of the amended Terms of Use. We recommend that you regularly review this page for updates on our Terms of Use. Any amendments on our Terms of Use supersede all previous Terms of Use posted on any of our Services. If you do not agree to the amendments in the Terms of Use, you should cease use of the Services and contact us at info@Citadoc .com to close your account.

16.  Disputes and legal actions

The courts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan shall govern any dispute arising related to the Services, Terms of Use and/ or Privacy Policy and any legal action, arbitration, or legal dispute shall be resolved in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
